Dear NvASP members:

As many of us begin a new school year, I would invite you to take a little time to consider your state association. If you have not already done so, please consider renewing your NvASP membership. We are the cheapest association in the USA at just $25 for a regular membership. If you’ve already renewed your membership, thank you so much for investing in the both the present and future of NvASP. We genuinely desire for it to be a relevant and viable association that meets the needs of its members.

In line with that idea, you can be expecting a “needs assessment” that will be conducted via email/survey monkey. This is your chance to influence how NvASP operates and how we invest your membership dollars. Want exciting professional development opportunities or a job board?? Need ideas for interventions or have legislative issues you think need to be addressed? This will be your venue for communicating your ideas, needs, and suggestions to the NvASP board!

Similarly, we will be recruiting members for our committees. Please consider getting involved and serving on a committee. We need your support! NvASP was responsible for passing the 5% stipend for NCSPs and Nevada is one of only three states that offer such a stipend. Help us maintain our influence in our state! This is an important time in our field. We have the opportunity to truly demonstrate how indispensable and important we as school psychologists are in supporting students and their families as well as school staff.
