The Nevada Association of School Psychologists is an official State of Nevada Corporation registered with the Secretary of State’s office.  Our website, located at NvASPonline.org, is updated periodically to reflect our positions on various timely issues.

Our legislative agenda is based on the opinions of our members as well as position statements made by the National Association of School Psychologists.  Our lobbyists are unpaid volunteers who promote the interests of our membership and keep a watchful eye on issues that affect our profession.

We support an active involvement by the membership in the maintenance of our website and encourage input.  Our goal is to produce a quarterly update on the website of events happening throughout the State.  We are dedicated to bringing together disparate interests ranging from the needs of the rural Districts to those of the more urban areas of Nevada.  Representatives of the University of Nevada in Reno, as well as Las Vegas, have pledged to support this effort by pledging to contribute a short message regarding developments on their campuses on a quarterly basis.  Also, a representative from the Nevada Department of Education has made a similar commitment.

Our organization is governed by a seven member Board with a rotating President selected from the existing Board members.  The Board is comprised of members from the University of Nevada, urban Districts from the northern and southern parts of the State, as well as members from the rural regions.  The Board meets annually and as needed.
